The Lighthouse Rock Project.

The Learning Lighthouse is the first City Learning Centre to have its own independent record label 'Lighthouse Rock Records'. We are putting Wirral's young bands in the UK Download charts!

The Lighthouse Rock Project aims to find Wirral's new  talent and give them the experience and skills to record, produce and promote their own material.

We aim to develop Wirral’s most talented and creative (11-19) singers, song writers and musicians by giving them the opportunity to record and then promote their own songs.

The project is free for Wirral 11-19 young people in  full time education. Once accepted the bands or individuals are asked to commit to a series of Wednesday evenings 6-8pm.

What the program provides:

Studio time with our digital recording consultant to develop and record tracks in a fully equipped modern studio.

Support in creating an image for a CD cover and promotional material from our creative consultant working with the latest hardware and software including digital photography, green screen film making, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash.

After a term of tuition the bands are welcome to continue to use the centre (subject to booking and demand) to further develop their skills, images and recordings.
